MWT are recruiting a Head of Conservation & Land to lead our nature conservation and restoration work across the Isle of Man’s land and sea.

Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT) is looking to recruit a Head of Conservation & Land to lead their nature conservation and restoration work across the Isle of Man’s (IOM) land and sea. MWT are the largest conservation charity in the Island, celebrating their 50th year, with a team of friendly, passionate, environmentally minded, dynamic, and supportive staff and volunteers.

This is a brand-new role for MWT, and the Head of Conservation & Land will have the wonderful opportunity to lead MWT’s conservation team and direct the management of all their land holdings which include 28 nature reserves covering over 400 acres. This comes at an exciting time for MWT, with increasing importance, reach and impact for the charity and their environmental work. The role will build on the opportunities that exist, across the whole IOM nation and UNESCO Biosphere, through Agri-environment, Biodiversity Net Gain and Environmental Social Governance.

Leigh Morris, MWT CEO said:

“The appointment of the first ever Head of Conservation & Land for Manx Wildlife Trust is an exciting and highly significant step forward for us. We have been delivering brilliant conservation work for 50 years and it is great credit to all those who have contributed in our first 50 years that we are now in a position where we can justify appointing a conservation lead role. The opportunity we have now through Agri-environment, Biodiversity Net Gain and Environmental Social Governance, has never been greater and we regard this post as being a wonderful step forward for our whole IOM Biosphere. I am looking forward to seeing who applies, and who ends up delivering this fantastic new role”

More information about the role can be found at www.mwt.im/jobs (Head of Conservation & Land | Manx Wildlife Trust (mwt.im)). The deadline for applications is the 29th October.
