Volunteering at MWT
Why volunteer with us?
Volunteering with MWT is a chance to play a direct role in protecting the Island’s wildlife, while gaining something meaningful in return.
Whether you are looking to keep active, spend more time outdoors, meet like-minded people or learn new skills, there are opportunities to get involved in ways that suit you. You might be helping on a nature reserve, supporting events, contributing specialist skills, or simply getting to know more about the wildlife on your doorstep.
Volunteering connects people with local conservation work and with each other. It helps build a stronger understanding of the natural world around us, from our countryside to the heart of our towns.
For some, it is a way into conservation or a step towards future employment. For others, it is a chance to stay engaged, share experience, or try something new.
However you choose to get involved, your time makes a real difference - and we appreciate it.

You can also explore current volunteering opportunities below. These vary throughout the year and include everything from one-off activities such as surveys and citizen science sessions to more regular roles. All contributions are valued and help support nature across the Isle of Man
