About the event
New technologies can play a vital role in collecting the data needed to underpin conservation. Discover how Environmental DNA (eDNA) can be used to monitor aquatic biodiversity in a non-invasive way. Hear the fascinating results of a survey of rivers in the Isle of Man, to assess the presence of key species, especially fish. The results provided valuable insights into species distribution and highlighted the potential of eDNA for fisheries management and conservation effort.
Dr Rachel Glover is the Chief Scientist at Taxa Genomics, a company based on the Isle of Man which provides DNA testing services to the environmental and veterinary industries. Rachel is also a MWT Trustee.
