About the event

Join us for a series of free guided walks around MWT Creggans Nature Reserve as part of Heritage Open Days 2026.

Discover this internationally important site, where fascinating archaeology, cultural history and stunning wildlife come together. The walks will explore tholtans, a keeill, holy wells, a Bronze Age burial mound and the reserve’s internationally important assemblage of rare grassland fungi, all while taking in the spectacular views.

There will be three guided walks, each limited to 50 people.

Please note: places cannot be booked directly through Manx Wildlife Trust.

1.5km. Involves crossing a road. Ground sloping. Participants are required to walk over low sod banks. Dress for windy/cold weather. No access to the inside of tholtans. Reserve grazed by sheep: no dogs please. Ticks may be present; wear long trousers and closed, stout shoes. Check MWT’s Facebook page for weather cancellations.
