About the event

Join us at Artreach Studios in Peel for a visual exploration of Mannin’s ancient pulse.

Chyndaa ny Bleeaney: The Turning Year, is the flagship exhibition by the Manx Wildlife Trust Biosphere Photographer in Residence, sponsored by Visit Isle of Man.

Over the past year, this residency has followed the Celtic Wheel of the Year, documenting the eight sacred thresholds where the seasons shift and the veil between the modern world and our ancient roots feels thinnest.

The Collection:
This body of work moves beyond traditional landscape photography. It is an immersive study of our connection to the land, featuring:
• Ethereal Human Portraits: Figures woven into the natural world, capturing a sense of ritual and belonging.
• Manx/Celtic Landscapes: Vast vistas and intimate details of our UNESCO Biosphere.
• Wilder Details: Quiet observations of the wildlife and flora that define each turn of the wheel.

From the dark stillness of Oie Houney to the burgeoning light of Laa’l Breeshey, these images invite you to slow down and reconnect with the cyclical nature of our island home.
