Manx Wildlife Trust have been working with Howard Caine at Manx Radio to create a wildflower meadow outside their station in Douglas. Methods to help encourage the wildflowers have included leaving the meadow uncut between May and the beginning of July, planting yellow rattle seeds and also trying to reduce the nutrient levels of the soil. In March 2025, Manx Radio also planted a hedge of hawthorn trees, as these are most likely to manage in such an exposed location.
