Thanks to internal progression, we have an exciting vacancy for a Head of Engagement to lead the delivery of the specific Manx Wildlife Trust (MWT) strategic pillar: To ‘Connect people in the Isle of Man strongly to nature and the work of MWT’ supporting MWT’s Mission to ‘protect and enhance our environment, create more spaces for wildlife, and inspire people to act for nature’. In addition to managing and developing our amazing Engagement Team, the post holder will have strategic oversight of our income generation through corporate and public relationships, membership programme, and supporting our invaluable army of volunteers. The role also includes driving the move towards community organising through #TeamWilder in the Isle of Man and connecting people strongly to wildlife for the benefit of both people and nature.
The position necessitates the post holder to work closely and collaboratively with MWT colleagues, key partners, and stakeholders, including the IOM Government, other IOM conservation organisations, The Wildlife Trusts federation, and Island businesses. The Head of Engagement also has overall responsibility for all MWT communications, brand and public relations.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced engagement lead, who is personable, organised, visionary, and has excellent management skills of both people and workstreams. The ideal candidate will be able to use their own initiative and be a key part of our MWT leadership team.
This is full-time (37.5 hours/week) post. In addition to your salary, you will receive a 5% pension contribution, and are entitled to 25 days annual leave, plus IOM Bank Holidays. We operate a staff appraisal and development scheme.
