About the event
Rare and endangered plant species were recently discovered on a site due for redevelopment. Recognising their importance, a conservation project led by Dr Philippa Tomlinson has been established to carefully relocate these plants to a safer location where they can continue to thrive.
This event offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the project, the species involved, and the practical challenges and successes of plant conservation on the Isle of Man.
Following a short introduction, attendees will make a brief drive to the promenade opposite the Grand Island Hotel redevelopment site, where the relocated plants can be seen in their new home.
Whether you are interested in wildlife, conservation, botany or local environmental projects, this promises to be an engaging and informative evening.
Come and discover conservation in action and learn how local efforts are helping to protect the Isle of Man's botanical heritage for future generations.
