We are looking for volunteers to “seal sit”. At this time of year, many pups and juveniles haul up to avoid bad weather, often on public beaches.
We need volunteers to be able to attend seal pups, check they are ok and not injured. Normally they are just tired and want to sleep, so it's just a case of keeping people and dogs at bay and talking to people if they have any questions.
The training session for seal sitters will be on 16th November at 7pm at the MWT office in Peel
Our volunteer marine strandings team go to marine strandings around the Island to record them. Dead marine strandings training will be 23rd November at 7pm at also at the MWT office in Peel
